CarrierScrub's dataset covers every carrier in FMCSA's Licensing & Insurance registry -- about 1.68 million nationally -- plus carriers registered through Motus since, as of CarrierScrub's last import, so the Utah counts above are the complete set on file at that date. A carrier's verdict uses its current Motus record where FMCSA has one, and otherwise the legacy file, which FMCSA stopped updating on 14 May 2026. Most registrations in that registry are dormant, so the GO/CAUTION/STOP split counts only carriers holding active operating authority. For FMCSA's own record of a single carrier, search their SAFER Company Snapshot.
No. The counts above cover every Utah carrier on file at CarrierScrub's last import, but the list on this page is a short sample of carriers with a GO verdict, not all of them. Run any Utah carrier's USDOT or MC number through the free lookup directly; it isn't limited to this list.
Use the DOT number status check -- enter any USDOT number, Utah or otherwise, and get a dated GO/CAUTION/STOP built from FMCSA's operating-authority and insurance filings, free, no account.
The dataset is updated from FMCSA's open data in periodic imports, and a lookup refreshes a carrier from FMCSA when its stored record is more than a day old. A carrier's verdict uses its current FMCSA Motus record where one exists, and otherwise FMCSA's legacy file, which FMCSA stopped updating on 14 May 2026. Every carrier result shows which record it used and that record's date.
Yes. FMCSA lists Utah among the states that require their intrastate commercial motor vehicle registrants to obtain a USDOT number, on top of the federal rules for carriers that cross state lines. Either way, a Utah carrier's USDOT number looks up the same way: enter it in the free DOT number lookup, or search by company name if you don't have it. For Utah's own intrastate registration, FMCSA's advice is to check with the responsible state agency. Source: FMCSA, Do I need a USDOT number?
